On-going Book Sale: We are constantly rotating our selection of books on the shelves and accepting donations, which mean we have a lot of left over books! Stop in during library hours and browse our low cost book sale. $0.25 paperbacks, $0.50 hardcovers, or grab as many as you like for $1! Update on November 13, 2021: The nonfiction sections of the sale are currently unavailable. Adult. YA, and Kid’s fiction sections have been reopened for browsing.
Wild Center Discounts: The library has a patron membership card for the Wild Center in Tupper Lake, NY. This educational facility is a great place for families and anyone that loves the outdoors. For a $5 refundable deposit, you may check out the membership card with your library card just like you would a book. Show the membership card when you arrive at the Wild Center to receive a discounted entry fee: 2 Adults tickets for just $10 a piece, and up to 4 children, 17 or younger, completely free! Seed Exchange: For the duration of the growing season, we will have take and trade seed packets available free of charge to all community members during library hours. If you have leftover seeds from your garden that you would like to donate, partial packets are accepted! Please label your seeds. You can find the display by the circulation desk when you visit the library.
Sheet Music Library: Catalog list coming soon! We are the new home of a small portion of the Adirondack Community Chorus sheet music library. We also have accepted donations of some instrumental music. Feel free to stop in and browse. There is 2, 3, and 4 part choral music, a variety of small brass ensemble pieces, sing along books, and some guitar / piano song books. Music can be borrowed for specific lengths of time upon request. If you have sheet music in good condition that you would like to donate, please call the library directly.
Practice Instruments: We have a quality digital piano with built-in metronome and a practice drum pad with sticks available in our Community Room for those looking to practice music during library hours. Piano users, please expect to use headphones if the library is busy.
